Job Description
The Great Lakes Horticulturist is responsible for delivering grower support services, educating growers on new crop management practices, and supporting research and development efforts to maximize growers' crop quality, productivity, and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in horticultural, agronomic, or plant science fields
- At least 5 years of experience in agricultural research, budgeting, data collection and analysis, and personnel management
- Ability to acquire and maintain a commercial pesticide applicator license
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, experimental design, and statistical analysis
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
