Michigan Online School is seeking a Virtual Speech Language Pathologist to provide diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders. The position requires travel and face-to-face attendance several times per year for state testing and student events.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Speech-Language Pathology License
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite, Google applications, e-mail, and internet applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong content knowledge in one or more content areas
- Exhibit genuine care for children and a passion for teaching
- Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data to make sound educational decisions
- Exhibit flexibility regarding decision-making, daily challenges, and job duties
- Have a strong sense of integrity
- Have a 'team player' attitude
- Ability to work in a diverse educational community setting
- Understanding of the community and student demographics
- Understand state proficiency testing as well as state teaching standards
- Satisfactory completion of federal and state required background check
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
