Urban Farmer - Victoria (BC)

MicroHabitat is seeking an Urban Farmer to implement urban agriculture projects with a multicultural clientele. The role involves setting up agriculture projects, managing production areas, and collaborating with the MicroHabitat team.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in agriculture/urban agriculture/horticulture/environmental science/sustainable development
• Must have worked or studied in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, urban agriculture, or sustainable development
• Have theoretical and practical knowledge of agriculture, urban agriculture, or horticulture
• Be experienced and comfortable using technology, including smartphones, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and video conferencing platforms
• Have strong writing and speaking skills
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Have two years of experience driving vehicles
• Own an activated and functional smartphone
• Be a Canadian resident and live in Canada

Benefits

• 5-7 pm social hours with the rest of the team about once a month
• Standard Working Hours: 1 day per week, 8 am to 3 pm (variable depending on meetings and the operational needs of the business)
