Principal Engineer, Firmware

Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to drive the architectural direction of next-generation Solid State Drive development. The role involves driving firmware architecture, collaborating across engineering teams, and providing high-level debug support across the firmware stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 7+ years of firmware development experience
• Proficiency in machine language, assembly language, and high-level languages (e.g., C, C++, Python) for embedded systems development
• Hands-on experience with ASIC/FPGA/system bring-up, system-level debug, and failure analysis in a firmware context
• Experience driving technical direction across multiple engineering teams
