Senior Engineer-Mechanical

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior Engineer-Mechanical with expertise in industrial facility design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems, equipment layouts, and process infrastructure within large-scale industrial projects.

Requirements

• Review detailed mechanical designs, equipment layouts, and technical drawings
• Review thermal, structural, and fluid dynamics analysis
• Review 3D models, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics
• Prepare Material Specification for piping, pumps, valves, compressors, and heat exchangers
• Design process piping, fluid transport, and mechanical utility systems
• Perform stress analysis and dynamic simulations
• Select, design, and integrate rotating and static equipment
• Ensure proper foundation design, vibration analysis, and mechanical support structures
• Review equipment installation and maintenance guidelines
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and Navisworks to create detailed 3D models and layouts
• Conduct clash detection and coordination with structural, electrical, and process engineering teams
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
• Implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies
• Ensure designs comply with ASME, API, IS, NFPA, ISO, and local construction regulations
• Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into mechanical system designs
• Conduct HAZOP and risk assessments
