Staff Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer- Storage systems

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer to lead formal failure analysis efforts on customer-returned SSDs. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in product engineering, system engineering, validation, or quality assurance. The role is performed onsite daily in the lab and requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Requirements

• Conduct in-depth electrical diagnostics using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power measurement tools to isolate component-level failures.
• Collaborate with hardware design, firmware, and validation teams to replicate electrical anomalies and propose corrective actions for future product revisions.
• Perform electrical and mechanical failure analysis on returned SSDs
• Generate and communicate comprehensive FA reports to internal and external teams
• Lead customer concerns for RMA cases, ensuring timely resolution and updates
• Set up and manage debug systems for DOE and error replication
• Provide technical consultation and support to customer-facing teams
• Coach and mentor engineers early in their careers
