Research Scientist

The Data and AI team in Microsoft CoreAI is seeking an entrepreneurial and creative Senior Research Scientist to lead cutting-edge projects from concept to product. In this role, you will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and designers across Microsoft Research, Microsoft product teams, and GitHub to build and train state-of-the-art models and apply techniques for leveraging LLMs in software engineering.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in computer science or engineering
• 3+ years related-research experience
• Strong academic work and professional experience in statistics, machine learning, including deep learning, NLP, econometrics
• Experience in building cloud-scale systems and experience working with open-source stacks for data processing and data science
• Experience with LLMs in natural language, AI for code or related fields
• Experience in productizing AI and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
