The Senior Associate Director of Alumni Engagement Programs is a senior member of the Alumni Engagement team responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive regional events strategy to support alumni engagement and donor cultivation and stewardship around the world. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and event planning skills, and the ability to manage multiple events and projects concurrently.
Requirements
- Manages members of the Alumni Engagement team to deliver programming that maximizes engagement in support of Advancement goals.
- Develops and executes a comprehensive regional events strategy to support alumni engagement and donor cultivation and stewardship around the world.
- Collaborates with colleagues and volunteers to execute presidential, networking, academic, affinity, and social events designed to provide an engagement platform that supports current and future philanthropic support.
- Recruits and manages volunteers for regional chapters of the Middlebury Alumni Association and other volunteers planning events around the world.
- Coordinates event production and logistics, including venue selection and management, catering, transportation, signage, decorations, audio/visual, presentation materials, and other event collateral.
- Serves as a member of the Reunion planning and execution team, offering logistical coordination and direct support of reunion classes as necessary.
- Advances strategic partnerships with other campus entities, including the Center for Careers and Internships, Academic Affairs and the Provost’s Office, Athletics, and others.
- Identifies and executes new and innovative engagement efforts and evaluates effectiveness of engagement opportunities towards reaching Advancement goals.
