Fabrication Associate I position responsible for safely and correctly setting up, operating, and shutting down basic Fabrication Equipment while maintaining quality, efficiency, and inventory control requirements.
Requirements
- Manually places material on equipment and operates machine to manufacture parts within tolerance prescribed on blueprints.
- Runs Fabrication Machinery including Spot Welding, Press Brakes, Pem Serters, CNC Machinery, Harger Hardware Insertion, Cold Saw, etc.
- Makes routine adjustments to ensure parts are within tolerance.
- Checks parts to print using proper QC measuring equipment.
- Loads/unloads machines and checks basic cross-reference information to assure correct part is being processed.
- Performs lower-level duties such as filing, sanding, etc.
- Uses computer to accurately confirm labor based on priority of the job board.
- Escalates any issues and/or delays to supervisor as needed.
- Performs basic quality checks at specific intervals on machine parts.
