The Public Safety Dispatcher responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches routine and emergency calls for service, and performs related duties.
Requirements
- Answer multiple telephone lines, including 9-1-1, emergency, and business lines
- Elicit information from callers to ensure a proper response
- Dispatch routine and emergency calls for service via radio to field personnel
- Maintain a working knowledge of laws and regulations from the State of California, Department of Justice and Federal Communications Commission
