Job Description
The Youth and Family Services Administrator (COH) position is responsible for administering and managing the Youth and Family Services Bureau (YFSB) of the Hayward Police Department. The role requires technical consultation on psychological and mental health matters to sworn and professional personnel, as well as supervision of staff and coordination with community social and mental health agencies.
Requirements
- Lead in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and programs in the bureau
- Evaluate and maintain program services and standards
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff
- Prepare and control Bureau budget
- Evaluates training needs and provides for in-service and external training
- Maintains records and prepares reports on bureau programs and services
- Makes public presentations of bureau programs, services, and juvenile related issues
- Prepares grant applications for federal, state, and local funding
- Administers county, state, and federal contracts and grants involving the Youth and Family Services Bureau
