Material Handler

Role Overview

The Material Handler's essential duties and responsibilities include loading, unloading, and moving finished products, work in progress, and raw materials to the point of use in the manufacturing process or for other inventory purposes.

What You Will Do

Enter accurate data into job tracking and quality software programs, assist other operators, inspect forklifts, read work orders, load and unload containers, count and record materials moved, and operate industrial trucks or electric hoists.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Related experience preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively communicate/present information in a one-on-one and small group situation
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to foster a positive team environment
• Flexibility in working hours as required by workload and communication demands
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Attention to detail
