Milliman's Seattle Health Practice is seeking an FSA with experience in health actuarial work, focusing on Value Based Payments and government programs. The position requires creative actuarial capabilities, good communication and interpersonal skills, and organizational talents. We provide extensive on-the-job training in consulting skills and advanced actuarial techniques.
Requirements
- Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
- FSA designation
- 7+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, with at least four (4) years working in a consulting environment.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience with VBP, Medicaid, and Medicare.
- Minimum of two (2) years leading working in the Medicaid managed care environment or with state agencies managing Medicaid, including delegating work to and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency with Excel
- Some knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R
- Strong understanding of the US healthcare system
- Demonstrable skills in presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience in an understandable way
