Machine Operator

Job Description: The Machine Operator is responsible for performing basic machine operation, working with computer-controlled equipment or mechanical based machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well and producing quality products.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of motor components and functions
• Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gauging equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Make adjustments as required for change overs
• Identify, troubleshoot and correct minor machine time outs
• Setup/Operate 1 up/down workstations
• Perform monthly PM requirements
• Inform team leader about processes or equipment requiring attention
• Complete rework and scrap documentation as required or requested
• Package service parts
• Participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity and quality, especially those related to corrective actions
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
• Practice 5Ss
