The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and ensuring all equipment is running efficiently and safely. Employees may be assigned to perform any task for which they have been qualified. Employees may also be assigned to positions for which they are working to become qualified as a portion of the training process.
Requirements
- Ensure equipment runs at expected speed with minimal down time.
- Maintain electrical and mechanical reliability of bulk handling packaging lines.
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Use CMMS or OEAM to schedule maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts, ensuring timely reordering and restocking through the CMMS or OEAM.
- Continuous improvement through root cause elimination
- Small capital projects
- Train operators on operation and maintenance of equipment
- Clean and organize maintenance shop as necessary on daily basis
- OE/Lean
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the reliability and efficiency of production equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks and ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Assist production operators to with autonomous maintenance procedures and checklist.
- Implement and sustain 5S principles in the maintenance area.
