Conciliation Court Referee, 10th Judicial District

The Tenth District is seeking attorneys to serve as Conciliation Court referees, presiding over small claim courts and handling claims for money and property. The position is part-time, hybrid, and contractor-based, with a $75.00 per diem rate. Candidates must be licensed attorneys in Minnesota, have at least 5 years of experience, and be in good standing.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota
• Must have at least five years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Must be in good standing and have no disciplinary actions within the past five years
• Must reside or maintain an office in or near the 10 District
• May not have a client base that would create a frequent conflict in the type of cases most commonly heard in the conciliation court
• Must pass criminal background and Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility disciplinary history checks
