Material Handler

Role Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials throughout the Meriden facility. This includes receiving inbound shipments, putting away and stocking materials, staging and kitting components to support production, and preparing and shipping outbound orders.

What You Will Do

Unload inbound deliveries, inspect shipments, process receipts, stage quarantine or non-conforming material, move materials throughout the facility, put away received materials, replenish floor stock, maintain accurate location records, pull materials from inventory, assemble and verify kits, pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. They will be reliable, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks. Forklift or pallet jack certification is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

• Ability to safely lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Comfort working on a manufacturing plant floor environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, labeling, and documenting materials
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing lists, BOMs, and shipping documents
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
