MCS of Tampa is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for the service, troubleshooting, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems in occupied facilities.
Requirements
- Troubleshoot, repair, and service fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly test and inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements.
- Interpret system drawings, as-built documentation, submittals, specifications, schematics, and manufacturer manuals.
- Identify system deficiencies, document findings, and provide clear service reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Program, reprogram, and modify existing fire alarm systems to support service work and code compliance.
- Respond to service calls involving fire alarm systems and related low-voltage systems including ERCES/BDA, card access, CCTV, intrusion, and nurse call systems.
- Support monitoring account setup, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate service activities with customers, facility representatives, AHJs, and internal project teams.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
