Job Description
Mistral AI is seeking an AI Scientist to join their team and contribute to the development and improvement of large language models. The role involves modifying pre-trained models for human interaction, equipping them with tool-calling abilities, aligning models based on feedback, and designing annotation processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific understanding of generative AI, technical engineering competence, experience with MLOps, and a collaborative mindset.
Requirements
- High scientific understanding of the field of generative AI
- High technical engineering competence
- Be able to navigate the full MLOps technical stack
- Occasionally be able to do front-end development
- Have to use complex HPC infrastructure with full autonomy
- Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax)
- Experience working with large distributed systems
