Job Description
Mitek Systems is seeking a Tax Manager reporting to the CFO, responsible for US indirect tax filings and tax notices, with an ideal candidate having an indirect tax background.
Requirements
- Maintain a tax calendar of required domestic compliance for indirect taxes
- Assist legal department with Annual Report filings
- Review of Sales & Use Tax returns
- Preparation of Personal Property tax returns
- Preparation of Sales & Use tax account reconciliations
- Completion of registration forms for newly established entities
- Manage, monitor and maintain log of notices from and responses to taxing authorities
- Assist with audits of indirect taxes
- Preparation of W-8, W-8BENs, etc.
- Work with accounting teams to settle intercompany balances
- Assist other members of Tax issues which arise in the day-to-day operations
- Assist in global tax strategy as needed
