The Construction Electrical Engineer I provides engineering support to construction and commissioning activities for Simple Cycle (SC), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT), and Combined Heat and Power (CCHP) projects. The ideal candidate is a motivated engineer seeking hands-on exposure to power generation construction environments and a career path toward higher-level Construction Electrical Engineering roles.
Requirements
- Assist in preparing electrical erection, installation, and commissioning procedures under supervision.
- Review and interpret basic engineering documents such as single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and vendor drawings.
- Support document verification activities by checking for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
- Collect and organize technical data needed for construction support activities and turnover packages.
- Assist with resolving basic site issues, including minor drawing discrepancies, material mismatches, or routine supplier clarifications.
- Support field teams by gathering required documents and coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Vendors.
- Observe construction and commissioning activities to understand electrical installation practices and compliance expectations.
- Help track and process Project Action Requests (PARs) with guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in coordination meetings with engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and site personnel.
- Communicate status updates on assigned tasks and escalate issues appropriately.
