Job Description
We are hiring a Compounding Pharmacy Technician in our New York pharmacy. The technician will assist with compounding nonsterile pharmaceutical preparations, package and label prescriptions, and adhere to USP guidelines. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician in a compounding pharmacy, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician directly with pharmacists in a compounding pharmacy
- Experience working in veterinary care or the medical field, or a strong interest in working in the field
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-focused (and pet-focused!) mindset
- Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to move, lift, or carry up to thirty (30) pounds
