Provide technical leadership in efforts associated with electronic control systems, mechanical subsystems, signal acquisition, and data processing. Work with cross-functional teams to support innovative designs and differentiated technologies.
Requirements
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years, or B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience
- Experience designing electronics for optoelectronic instruments, optical detection systems, and mixed-signal architectures
- Experienced with thermal detectors, MCT sensors, thermoelectric coolers, near/mid IR filters, interferometers, optics, and mirrors used in NDIR and FTIR spectroscopy
- Understanding of vacuum system infrastructure including MFCs, pressure controllers, and vacuum pumps
- Skilled with the design and test of complex hardware/embedded software systems that begin with proper scope, requirements reviews, and developing the concepts necessary for operation
- Experience with Failure Analysis (FMEA)
- Strong technical communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills
