Job Description
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will lead MKS in its journey to automate the assembly of complex opto-mechanical systems. You will be responsible for developing control software and interfaces to robots, instruments, and devices, and work with a cross-functional team to promote design for automation, verify and validate the process, and implement designs into automated volume production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or related Engineering field
- 5+ years of experience developing and writing software that interfaces with hardware (Python preferred)
- Experience with ROS, MoveIt, and/or other simulation and path planning frameworks
- Software development, deployment, and change management in a distributed team environment
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills coupled with strong analytical skills
