Systems Safety Engineer

MKS2 Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior System Safety Engineer to join our Naval Power System Safety team in Tucson, Arizona. The ideal candidate has a strong systems or safety engineering background and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and programs.

Requirements

• Lead and execute MIL-STD-882E compliant System Safety Programs
• Perform System Safety Program tasks and analyses
• Coordinate with customer safety representatives and gain approval from Safety Review Board authorities
• Collaborate across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to identify, eliminate, or control hazards throughout the product lifecycle
• Conduct system and design analyses and brief findings at technical reviews and safety approval meetings
• Interpret and apply system requirements, customer specifications, and military standards related to system safety
• Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for internal stakeholders and government customers
• Support program safety through production, operation, demilitarization, and disposal phases
