Job Description
The For-Credit Internship Student program provides meaningful opportunities across multiple disciplines, ensuring participants gain hands-on experience, transferable skills, and exposure to diverse career pathways within the organization.
Requirements
- Contribute to projects that align with the intern's academic field of study
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting as assigned
- Support ongoing initiatives within the department
- Prepare presentations, reports, or other deliverables as required by the supervisor
- Collaborate with staff and fellow interns on group projects
- Observe and shadow experienced professionals to gain practical exposure to industry practices
- Shadow Safety staff during inspections, audits, or job site visits (observation only)
- Participate in regular check-ins with mentors/supervisors to review progress and learning outcomes
- Maintain a weekly journal or log connecting internship experiences to academic coursework
- Complete any college/university assignments required to ensure credit eligibility
- Perform other duties as assigned
