Job Description
Gives resident care and reports pertinent observations, changes, and reactions regarding resident to the appropriate person. Provides nursing care under the supervision of Professional Nurse and/or LPN.
Requirements
- Give resident care under the supervision of Professional Nurse and/or LPN
- Assist with restorative nursing procedures
- Obtain vital signs, weight, height, intake, output and specimens
- Demonstrate knowledge of and implement policies and procedures of the hospital and T.C.U.
- Perform errands when asked to do so
- Answer call lights promptly, courteously, and provides necessary care
- Obtain/perform EKG's as ordered
- Demonstrate knowledge of the proper use of equipment
- Participate in the orientation of new staff
- Assume personal responsibility for professional development and continuing education
- Use appropriate measures of infection control
- Report staff safety incidents and incidents involving residents
