Job Description
Utilization management (UM) RN responsible for evaluating medical necessity, appropriateness, and efficiency of healthcare services, procedures, and facilities. Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other caregivers to improve clinical documentation and reduce payment denials.
Requirements
- Proof of successful completion of education requirements for board-certified registered nurse
- 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
- BLS required
- Certification for UM nurse and CDI specialists is encouraged
