Senior Application Engineer

As a Senior Application Engineer at Mollie, you'll design and engineer large-scale systems, develop products, and lead technical initiatives to shape the future of payment solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java.
• Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java.
• Proven experience in leading architectural decisions and technical initiatives, delivering end-to-end solutions, and optimising processes.
• Experience in mentoring junior developers and implementing strategies to drive team growth and skill development.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues.
• Ability to hold yourself accountable for your tasks, and show a willingness to proactively identify and improve things, whether technical or business related.
