Requirements
- Load and process material and unload finished products.
- Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on associated quartz equipment.
- Process finished quartz material through a series of repetitive progressive operations.
- Perform quality sampling and inspections of material as required.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain continuous melting, fusion, and baking quartz furnaces.
- Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.
- Record quality data and maintain inventory consumptions and additives;
- Follow standard operating procedures or manufacturing production instructions (MPI) and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Escalate and support revision when job safety or process instructions need to be updated, when necessary.
- Participate in 5S and problem-solving events as it relates and required.
- Review and document accurate inventory amounts, or cycle counts of applicable areas as required.
- Assist in repairs as necessary.
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures, policies and practices and consistently work in a safe manner regarding self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems.
- Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each activity as required.
- Escalate any hazards upon knowledge.
- Follow all attendance and mutual respect policies, and document work time correctly and accurately for self.
- Keep accurate production and quality records.
- Ability to read tape measures, use calipers and other standard measuring devices.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Train and assist others.
- Perform other duties as required.
