PD-BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TRAINEE

The PD-BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TRAINEE provides milieu and/or mental health rehabilitation services to clients, including engaging with clients, planning and organizing activity programs, and facilitating individual and group rehabilitation counseling processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• At least one year Mental Health experience
• Experience in a residential or in-patient Mental Health setting
• Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to monitor and support developmental growth and the recovery process
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands
• Ability to employ tact and diplomacy, exercise good judgment, and act calmly in emergency situations
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals with serious mental illness
• Ability to work with high-risk populations and exhibit exemplary customer service
• First Aid Certification or successful completion of First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
• Criminal records clearance
• Valid California Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle, proof of auto liability insurance, and a clean DMV record
