Momentus is seeking an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, build, test, and fly avionics units for Momentus vehicles. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on challenging problems.
Requirements
- Develop avionics units in one or more of the following areas: Flight computer, data handling, and payload interface systems
- Perform PCB schematic capture and layout
- Perform detailed technical review of electronics design and PCB layouts
- Assist in developing test plans for flight qualification of avionics
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer
- Experience designing electronics for the space environment (LEO, GEO and deep space) including radiation, thermal, and vibe
- Experience defining spacecraft avionics architectures and developing associated budgets
- Experience performing radiation test campaigns
- Familiarity with embedded software development
- Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: High-speed digital design, Power electronics, RF electronics, Mixed-signal electronics
- Experience with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice
- Experience designing fault-tolerant systems
- Previous experience working on DoD and other USG development and deployment programs
- Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance
