Spacecraft Manufacturing Engineer

Momentus is seeking an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, build, test, and fly avionics units for Momentus vehicles. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on challenging problems.

Requirements

• Develop avionics units in one or more of the following areas: Flight computer, data handling, and payload interface systems
• Perform PCB schematic capture and layout
• Perform detailed technical review of electronics design and PCB layouts
• Assist in developing test plans for flight qualification of avionics
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer
• Experience designing electronics for the space environment (LEO, GEO and deep space) including radiation, thermal, and vibe
• Experience defining spacecraft avionics architectures and developing associated budgets
• Experience performing radiation test campaigns
• Familiarity with embedded software development
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: High-speed digital design, Power electronics, RF electronics, Mixed-signal electronics
• Experience with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice
• Experience designing fault-tolerant systems
• Previous experience working on DoD and other USG development and deployment programs
• Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance
