Job Description
MYCS is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to provide specialized services to individuals in the community, promoting self-determination and decision-making. The successful candidate will have personal life experiences as a recipient of services, role model recovery, and establish trusting relationships with peers. The position involves advocating for consumers, providing individual advocacy, crisis management, and skills training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 24 months of successful work experience or 24 credit hours of post-secondary education within the last 3 years
- Successful completion of a peer specialist training curriculum approved by OMHSAS
- Valid PA Driver's License
- Act 33/34 clearances
