Infrastructure Automation Engineer (On‑Prem)

As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer (On-Prem), you will be responsible for replacing repeatable manual infrastructure build and configuration work with standardized, automated delivery mechanisms across on-prem systems and network domains. You will design, build, and evolve automation that enables infrastructure teams to deploy and change environments through controlled, version-driven workflows.

Requirements

• Automate end-to-end on-prem infrastructure deployment and change workflows.
• Replace manual infrastructure build and configuration processes with reusable automation.
• Design standard automation patterns for network, system, and storage delivery.
• Deliver infrastructure changes through automated, version-controlled execution paths.
• Develop and evolve a phased automation roadmap to reduce manual execution over time.
• Focus initial automation efforts on network platforms, including firewall and load balancer changes.
• Build and maintain code-driven automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Establish review, testing, approval, and change-control practices for infrastructure automation.
• Partner with system administrators and operations engineers to validate and adopt automation.
• Assess current automation maturity and continuously identify new opportunities for automation.
