Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our Database Experience team, responsible for developing and supporting the MongoDB Python drivers and subsidiary libraries, writing open source specifications, and investigating bugs and support requests.
Requirements
- Substantial experience writing high-quality software in Python
- Practical experience with AI/ML frameworks and technologies in Python, including large language models and agentic tools
- Extensive knowledge in Python tools and frameworks, scientific Python, and web development frameworks
- Ability to make pragmatic design decisions, balancing tradeoffs such as usability, maintainability, and delivery time
- Participation in open source software development and communities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivation, organization, and strong time management skills
