Job Description
The Montclair Cooperative School is seeking a caring and organized After School Program Coordinator to oversee a daily after-care program for PreK through 8th grade. The coordinator will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for students, supervise staff, and ensure student safety and program functionality. The position involves supervised activities, attendance tracking, and communication with parents and school staff.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in an after-school or childcare setting required
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a group of children with warmth, structure, and consistency
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass all required background checks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
