Reporting to the Chair, the 3D Studios Coordinator oversees daily operations, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and student staffing for the 3D Sculpture Studio and Ceramics Studio, in conversation with the strategic priorities set by Department Administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Studio Art, Sculpture, Ceramics or related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in a sculpture and/or ceramics studio in an academic or professional setting, as a Shop/Studio Assistant or a Shop/Studio Manager
- Metalwork experience and proficiency with welding equipment, steel fabrication, and common metalworking tools
- Woodworking experience and proficiency with woodworking equipment and the maintenance of woodworking equipment
- Ceramics experience and proficiency with wheel throwing, hand building and kiln use and maintenance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in person 5 days a week, 10 months a year (Summer term off)
- Ability to work occasional evenings and possibly one weekend day
