Second Shift Tool & Die Maker

The Tool and Die Maker will build dies from concept and strip layout drawings, efficiently plan work sequence, read and understand design drawings, and assist with die tryout and part inspection.

Requirements

• Analyze blueprints, determine materials required, and machine various pieces of material and components
• Try out new tooling or production equipment and rework and modify tooling until an acceptable part is produced
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using measuring instruments
• Develop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of product
• Operate machinery in a safe manner
• Maintain 6S standards in all work stations
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
