Intermediate Water Resources Engineer

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will join our Guelph, London or Oakville, Ontario office as part of our Surface Water Engineering Team. We are seeking a candidate with a strong, demonstrated foundation in water resources and river engineering who is passionate about tackling complex hydrological and hydraulic challenges with a focus on protecting and restoring complex natural systems (ravines, creeks, rivers).

Requirements

• Lead engineering analysis and design for river engineering and natural systems restoration projects
• Conduct specialized hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of riverine, valley-land, wetland, and shoreline restoration works
• Provide resident engineering and contract administration support for construction projects
• Successfully manage project budgets, invoicing, scheduling, change management, and client management
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
• Direct and support field data collection exercises
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior team members
• Prepare technical reports, technical memoranda, and work plans
• Support business development initiatives
