Join our team as a Senior Biologist/Ecologist in our Orlando office, providing leadership and technical expertise in due diligence and natural resources projects throughout the southeast region. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, natural resource surveys, and NEPA assessments.
Requirements
- Provide senior leadership of the existing due diligence and natural resources team in Orlando
- Provide senior technical mentorship and support to the team
- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and corridor studies
- Perform natural resource surveys, including wetland delineations and assessments
- Assess potential impacts to threatened and endangered species and wetland systems
- Develop mitigation strategies to support client objectives
- Manage environmental consulting projects from proposal through completion
- Track project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and invoicing
- Serve as the primary client manager, working directly with developers, utilities, state and local governments, municipalities, and legal counsel
- Lead a multidisciplinary staff and subconsultant team
- Prepare and review reports and applications for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Support proposal development, scopes of work, cost estimates, and technical approaches
- Maintain client and project confidentiality
- Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations
- Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs
