Senior Safety Specialist (Safety Consulting-Advisory/Emergency Response)

We are seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to participate in the Health & Safety Services group, performing safety activities including site safety assessments, safety policy/program development, and safety training development and delivery. The incumbent will support clients in safety, compliance, risk assessment, and emergency response.

Requirements

• Provide safety support to clients in the prevention of injuries and illnesses
• Provide safety support to clients to maintain regulatory and client safety compliance
• Immediate availability for extended travel and emergency response at client’s request or in support of TERP
• Perform duties safely to minimize threats to self and others in work settings with potential chemical, physical, biological, and safety hazards
• Perform (with minimal guidance) site safety activities, including, but not limited to, safety briefings and preparation/review of project- or site-specific health and safety plans
• Understand and explain the basic and with minimal guidance, the advanced concepts of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazards to workers, the public, and the environment
• Demonstrable ability to solve problems and make accurate and informed decisions regarding safety with minimal guidance
• Compile, review, and summarize scientific/technical data and literature
• Support other service areas as assigned and under the appropriate supervision
• Perform all duties according to the ethics of the Safety profession
• Demonstrate a professional attitude toward our clients, customers and co-workers which reflects favorably upon the company
• Perform such other duties as assigned.
