Job Description
We're looking for a mechanical engineer to join our team of hardware and software engineers, trying to bring robots and automation to the construction industry to create affordable, beautiful, high quality housing for everyone.
Requirements
- Designing hardware concepts from scratch
- Deciding on materials and simulating static and dynamic loads, stresses, and vibrations
- Fabricating proof-of-concept prototypes
- Integrating and validating actuators and electronics
- Writing or adapting simple embedded code
- Testing prototypes and iterating on designs
- Working with software and perception engineers to integrate designs into our software and perception stack
- Spend time on construction sites, seeing how designs perform in the real world
