Job Description
As a member of the Planting Crew at Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a vital role in the process of installing trees and plants for our customers.
Requirements
- Plant trees, shrubs, and other plants according to landscape plans and specifications.
- Ensure proper fertilization and planting techniques are followed to promote healthy growth and longevity of plants.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and complete projects on time.
- Assist with loading and unloading plants, tools, equipment and any other equipment needed for the day's tasks, ensuring accurate counts and proper weight distribution.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and any other necessary protective gear to maintain personal safety.
- Understand and recognize the significance of Blue Stake/811 colors at job sites to prevent damage to underground utilities and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
