Design Phase Engineer II - Preconstruction

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Design Phase Engineer II to translate owner’s project expectations into design drawings, specifications, and schedules, and provide financial cost documentation.

Requirements

• Provide meaningful recommendations to project’s programming and conceptual design activities, ensuring constructability and logistics solutions in project design
• Coordinate with integrated construction team to incorporate BIM/VDC modeling technology into project design phase
• Assist with project proposal development
• Prepare bid packages and contract manuals for subcontractors and suppliers in conjunction with project planning team
• Analyze and track LEED requirements
• Coordinate document and electronic interface processing
• Identify and resolve technical design and specification concerns
