Senior Industrial Designer

We are looking for a Senior Industrial Designer to join our Experience Design and Research team at Motorola Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate in a global team-focused environment. The role involves creating world-class hardware designs, collaborating with marketing and engineering, and delivering to strict deadlines. The team is focused on solving for safer workplaces and communities through human-centered design and research.

Requirements

• Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited industrial design program.
• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Must speak, read and write in English.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Design (Hardware).
• Strong 2-D visualization skills are necessary, such as sketching, Illustrator, and Photoshop software.
• A solid expertise in at least one 3-D CAD program, such as Solid Works, Pro E, Rhino, or other similar tools is required.
• Proficiency in video and animation (Adobe After Effects or similar) for storytelling of user experience or product attributes.
• Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-powered design and visualization tools to enhance design output and efficiency.
• A portfolio with past work experience and products designed is required at application.
