The Administrative Manager oversees the administrative, operational and financial activities of a department or medical care unit, ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of day-to-day operations. This includes staffing, administration of policies and procedures, and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Requirements

• Establishes major schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower, space and equipment
• Administers departmental contracts and grants
• Recommends changes in operational policies and procedures
• Assists in the determination of fiscal requirements and prepares budgetary recommendations
• Maintains liaison with administration, faculty and outside organizations
• Prepares operational and financial reports and analyses
• Interprets and administers personnel policies
• Assists in planning short and long-range goals for the department
