Job Description
We are seeking a Network Engineer (Technology Specialist III) to join our dynamic team on-site three days / two days a week remotely at Mount Sinai Health System. The candidate should be a Network Subject Matter Expert, who will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of our Enterprise Campus and Cloud Environment, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our environment.
Requirements
- Working knowledge in switch and routing protocols, Extensible LAN (VXLAN), Multicast, BGP, EIGRP, Spanning Tree, etc.
- Hardware knowledge of Catalyst and Nexus Platforms, Fabric Extenders.
- Working knowledge of Cloud Architecture with a focus on networking including Azure Express Route, AWS Direct Connection and OCI FastConnect
- Ability to design, implement, support, and maintain Enterprise Campus, Data Center and Cloud Networks
- Be able to create professional documents and diagrams
- Aid in the resolution of escalated issues and actively participate in problem management activities.
- Cross-train other IT staff members in the maintenance and usage of wireless technology.
- Research new technologies and processes to improve the environment.
