Job Description
The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service setting, including clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, and internal and external regulatory and survey requirements.
Requirements
- BSN degree required, Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a hospital setting
- Current RN licensure in New York State and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g. CNL, CCRN)
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in nursing practice, staff management, and budgeting
