Job Description
The Offsite Medical Assistant I provides clinical office support to Physicians & Surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Fulfills patient care responsibilities, assists physicians with procedures, and completes clerical tasks such as sending and receiving patient medical records. Maintains logging system, inventory, and restocks medical supplies, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS/AS degree in Medical Assisting or related field
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
- Certification in phlebotomy (if not certified, must be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
