Job Description
The Civil/Structural Designer Manager will be responsible for civil and structural design deliverables of concurrent projects from concept design through to the successful completion of various drawing issuances and submission of final project as-built drawings.
Requirements
- Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts, designs and working drawings including necessary projections, sectional views and standard specifications.
- Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate a preliminary design
- Check and verify accuracy of drawings prepared by others.
- Analyze the effect of proposed changes for proper fit and/or interference problems and recommend possible solutions or alternate construction options.
- Generate 3D models of foundation and structural steel scope deliverables utilizing CADWorx Structure 2018 or later versions
- Assist Engineers in reviewing shop fabrication steel drawings
- Proficient in Navisworks software for design reviews
- Review of third-party vendor drawings to ensure compatibility with intended design
